Making Disciples

MakingDisciples.Today is a vibrant collective of pastors, ministers, educators, community members, and devoted followers of Christ, united in the pursuit of living a Christlike life. Guided by the words of Jesus in John 13:15, “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you,” we seek to embody His example in every aspect of our lives.

As we walk in obedience to the Great Commission, we strive to be a light to the world, reflecting the love, humility, and truth of Christ. Our mission is not only to follow Him faithfully but to inspire others to do the same, cultivating a community where discipleship is lived, shared, and multiplied.

The commission: Jesus instructs his disciples to “ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

The purpose: The passage is seen as a rallying cry for the church, and a core part of its purpose is to spread the message of Jesus and establish a spiritual kingdom of faith. 

Its significance: It is a key divine command that has been interpreted as calling every believer to be involved in evangelism and discipleship. 

The Promise: The passage concludes with Jesus’ promise, ” I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
